Today is Women’s Health and Fitness Day!
We are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, employees, girlfriends, wives, partners, and so much more. We’re focused on our families, careers, relationships, and somehow, the foundation of all of that -- ourselves -- often gets put on the back burner.
On the day-to-day, self care can feel selfish. How can you possibly take time for yourself, when your to-do list is growing and time is dwindling?
So take this as a little reminder to slow down and do something for you. This can be going for a run or a slow yoga practice, unplugging and being in nature, cooking a healthy dinner, gardening, creating or crafting, reading a book -- whatever it is that fills and fuels you to be a better you -- take the time.
When you take the time for yourself, you then have the ability to give more to others around you. So fill your cup, so you can overflow into all other areas of your life.
